SRQ Propwash Test n Tune/ Open Water (LSO is BACK!)8am until 2pm
Starting this Saturday we will be going old back to the old skool!
That's right we're going back to the days of Limited Spec Offshore (LSO) at SRQ Propwash. Keeping things simple.
Back to a time when R/C Boating was about like minded friends having fun running boats and meant more then having the latest and greatest motor/esc and crazy expensive battery of the week.
To promote box stock R/C Boats from mainstream brands that you can go out and buy today (used market for Proboat and Aquacraft). New- TFL, Seaducer boats, Rico or Delta Force. You may also build your own LSO boat using our rules below.
We will have a NEW Offset Offshore Course as well.
This will be a break from the traditional NAMBA oval and offer racers and casual boaters alike a more interesting course layout. Something closer in design to what is seen in REAL offshore boat racing. More turns, less repetitive same old same old.
What does a return to LSO mean to you the r/c boater?
Affordable R/C Boating that is enjoyable both on the course and your wallet! Our goal is to bring back the awesome feeling of bow to bow racing action. To run side by side without having a guy(s) lapping the field. Closer action= More fun.
LSO Rules (P-limited) mostly applies with a few exceptions.

Realistic paint scheme/wrap to represent a real offshore power boat
3660 Motor Limit. No 37x60's. No wild out runners.
Think Leopard, TP, SSS etc... Brushless Motor's under a $100.00
OSE 150 Raider ESC's/Seaking/Spectrum. 120-180amp max.
No special 200+amp escs.
10,000 mah battery limit
Boat hull length stays the same as p-limited at 34" length max without hardware.
At SRQ Propwash we are here to grow this amazing hobby that we all very much enjoy well into the future.
R/C Boating is more then boats. Always has been. Sharing tips, lending props, working together to help a fellow boater out. We are all in this hobby to have fun.

Going to other venue's makes you a better driver. The more inclusion and club's working together means a more successful hobby for the future.
