REINVENTION is a concert that invents new sounds and redefines music. Jazz Band features (guitar) including 2 of her new jazz compositions. Concert also featuring guest ensemble MONTGOMERY HIGH SCHOOL WIND ORCHESTRA (director: Matt Perez).
JAZZ BAND redefines the genre playing 2 new arrangements by Lisa Liu, and arrangements of classics such as In a Mellow Tone. We explore new ways of playing blues and salsa, and how to groove with 5 beats per measure!
SYMPHONIC BAND explores the choral sounds of Eric Whitacre, new ways of hearing folk tunes from Cyprus in Cyprian Suite, and an arrangement of music from the first-ever published American Black Composer Francis Johnson!
