Celebrate Squirrel Appreciation Day by embroidering a squirrel outline on fabric! Templates and handouts will be provided, but any techniques may be used to hand-embroider your squirrel.Created in 2001 by Christy Hargrove, a wildlife rehabilitator from Asheville, North Carolina, Squirrel Appreciation Day brings light to these small and loveable creatures. They are natural gardeners, helping to spread seeds and mushrooms in forests to ensure the growth of new plants.
Squirrel themed snacks will be provided such as nuts, berries, and (pop)corn. Nut-free options will be separated to avoid allergen contamination.
Supplies are limited to first come, first served, but all are welcome!
