Hallyu (Korean culture) has established itself as a global pop culture trendsetter. In this lecture, Dr. Choi will discuss the irrationality and negative effects of Kpop-culture. The focus will be on the worldviews shown in the mega-hit Netflix series "Squid Game", which exemplifies the terminology "Hell Joseon" and other conflicting cultural codes of modern Korean society. The event is free and open to the public.
