Square Dance with Pharis & Jason Romero
Well, folks... get ready to kick up your heels; it couldn't get more Cariboo than this! Pharis and Jason Romero will team up with fiddler Trent Freeman to provide the music for Coldsnap's first ever Square Dance. Hailing from the wilderness town of Horsefly, BC, this award-winning duo are master musicians and passionate keepers of traditional music. Don't worry about a partner; you can find one on the floor. All you need is a hankering for some good ol' fashioned family-friendly fun and our callers Trixie and Dustin (The Bentalls) are coming up from The Bar None to show you how it's done! No experience required.
With generous support from Integris, a Division of Coastal Community Credit Union, Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, BCLC, Omineca Arts Centre, The Prince George Public Library and CFUR Radio Society, Coldsnap’s free-to-attend daytime series of workshops and IceJams are back for Coldsnap 2026. For those unfamiliar, ‘IceJams’ are free-to-attend afternoon mini-concerts featuring Coldsnap artists. and workshops are more hands-on, education-based sessions led by musicians talking about the art of making music.
