From Petroglyphs to Painted Crest CurtainsNoted Hupacasath historian and artist, Haa’yuups Ron Hamilton, will present a public discussion of the imagery in the well known Sproat Lake petroglyph. He will explore the relationship between these animal and marine figures and those he used in his large rock carved piece on the outside wall of the Museum, as well as images used in family crest curtains of his own design.
This talk will be presented at Echo Centre at 7.30 pm on June 20th in the Dogwood Room. It is open to the public and admission is free. The art show at the Museum will also be open that evening prior to this event.
