We will explore traditional and modern designs using two or three colors. You will be writing TWO eggs to take home with you! This class teaches one of the many ways to create and write Pysanky or Ukrainian Easter Eggs. It’s helpful to have experience with egg crafting or the wax resist process, but not required. Interested in a different Pysanky technique? Denise is offering a VINEGAR ETCH PYSANKY class on Saturday, March 28, at 1:00-3:30 PM.
INSTRUCTOR: Denise Beno has always been fascinated by Faberge eggs and Ukrainian egg art and was naturally drawn to this art form. She attributes this to her Eastern European ancestral roots. While Denise was a poultry farmer, she picked up a basic pysanka kit and taught herself the craft of Pysanky. She has been crafting eggs for almost 20 years, typically gifting them to family and loved ones.
