About this Event
Forest Bathing at Penn Forest Natural Burial Park
Welcome the season of renewal with forest bathing, inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku. As spring awakens the landscape, we’ll slow down, engage our senses, and deepen our connection with nature and ourselves. Through gentle invitations, you’ll be guided to explore the sights, sounds, and textures of the season, fostering relaxation and presence. The walk will conclude with a shared reflection and a wildcrafted tea. No experience is needed—just a willingness to be present.
Please bring a water bottle and dress in layers as temperatures can be cool under the forest canopy and we will be moving at a slow pace. I'll provide sit-upons, but feel free to bring a blanket, journal or any other comfort items. The trail has a short descent, so sturdy footwear is recommended. We'll walk in light rain, but I will cancel for heavy rain or thunderstorms. Come with curiosity and a readiness to connect with nature. Look forward to seeing you there!
*This walk is offered on a donation basis. Give what feels right to you. Your support helps sustain these offerings and make them accessible to all. Thank you for contributing. *
