Time for another get together for the Christchurch Giant Breed dogs : ) All Gentle Giants are welcome along to this walk.Enjoy the surroundings as we take a stroll through the beautiful Hagley Park. Hopefully it won't rain on us this year.
All dogs must be on leash for this walk.
Meet in the park by the Armagh Street Bridge
Wet or fine.
I know some of the dogs can get a bit bored and restless waiting round for the walk so feel free to space them out and wander for a bit if you are early. We all know grumpy giants can be a challenge and not all dogs get along, especially when they are bored. Once the dogs are walking they are usually all fine and you can spend time chatting while walking or at the end. We will plan to take the group photos at 10.30 so can gather just then. We will then wander from the Armagh St bridge along the river to the bridge that goes from the carpark into the gardens. If you are running late you can join us along here. The walk then follows the river past the croquet and tennis courts and then down behind the hospital by the rose garden. There is a water fountain around there and also the beautiful mosaic chair for photo opportunities.
We then wander back along Rolleston Ave past the museum which usually involves lots of interest from passers by.
***No responsibility will be taken for off-lead dogs.
If you have a giant puppy, feel free to bring it along for some socialisation with the big boys and girls or join in for a short walk at the start but please be careful with their precious wee joints.
