Learn how to create, through the art of hand-built pottery, a spring-themed piece that will be glazed the same day you build it! Karen Eckberg, owner of Owl Arts, will facilitate the workshop and teach you the techniques you need to make your own spring-themed piece. All materials are included along with 3 hours of hands-on instruction and assistance. Each participant will create a piece of varying size and personalized decoration. Karen will take all items to be dried and fired, then return them to Heritage Hill in about a month's time for participants to collect.
Karen Eckberg is a ceramicist in Northeastern Wisconsin who makes functional ware and sculptural pieces. She enjoys creating small batches of items and experimenting with mixed media such as metals and floss. Karen works with nonprofits to create unique handmade pieces for fundraisers and teaches ceramics and art to many populations in Northeast Wisconsin, including students through the YMCA and workshops for adults in Green Bay and Port Washington.
