The programming schedule for The Springfield Independent Film Festival will exhibit the quality and diversity that reflects the population of Springfield, Massachusetts. The programming is also designed to be appealing to film fans throughout the northeast.
The festival will being with an Opening Night Mixer on Thursday May 23. That will be followed by two full days of films and workshops. It will conclude with a Closing event on the afternoon of Sunday May 26.
The proposed schedule is as such:
Thursday May 23 8PM to 11PM: Opening Night Mixer
Friday May 24
10AM- 11AM - Why Should Filmmakers Partake in Festivals?
11:15 to 12:45- College Short Films Block
1PM to 2:30- So You Want To Make Movies?
A workshop on basic needs to being a career in filmmaking
3PM to 4:45- Documentary Short Block
Curated section of nonfiction shorts
5PM to 5:45- Music Video and PSA Block
Curated section of music videos and public service announcements
6PM- 10PM- Long Form Documentary Block
Curated section of nonfiction long form films
Saturday May 25th
10AM to 10:45 - Finding Money to Make Your Film
11AM to 12:45 - High School Short Film Block Film
1PM to 2:30- Inside The Black Box Actors Workshop
