Springfield, IL Gold Star Memorial Monument Landscaping Days

This monument needs some landscaping. Come out and be a part of something that will last for centuries.
We need volunteers to help with the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument landscaping.
When: Saturday and Sunday, October 4-5. From 8 am - 3 pm.
Where: Gold Star Families Memorial Monument (near the War Memorials) 1500 Monument Ave, W Oak Ridge St, Springfield, IL 62702
What: Working under Greenview Nursery's supervision, install and complete all landscaping for the monument. The landscaping consists of brick edging, river rock, flat stones, and small boulders. Anyone coming to support should bring their own work gloves and sunscreen. Wheelbarrows will be appreciated as well.
