WHAT IS SPRING VACATION?Spring Vacation is a weekend retreat designed for adults over 18 years of age with cognitive and developmental disabilities and/or ASD. Hosted at Grotonwood Camp & Conference Center, an award-winning ADA accessible Lake front facility, where children and adults have enjoyed summer camps for over 60 years.
Spring Vacation provides a respite from the everyday and inspires campers to participate in things they would not normally get the opportunity to try at home.
Activities include Easter egg hunt, chapel time, campfires with S’mores, outdoor games, spring inspired arts & crafts, trivia with prizes, themed banquet, awards and more!

WHO CAN ATTEND?
Our ratio of staff to camper care is strictly 1:4. To enjoy a successful experience, campers must be moderately-independent and have a level of mobility that allows for climbing stairs, traversing uneven terrain and standing for pro-longed periods of time unassisted. Staff provide assistance with meal times and ADL’s and ensure engagement and participation at activities.
Our focus is to inspire friendship, fun and fellowship through activities that stimulate conversation and provide opportunity for skill building and socialization.
Whilst we strive to provide camping experiences for all campers, this particular session is not suitable for adults requiring 1:1 care, or those who have limited mobility as the program requires campers to climb stairs, traverse uneven terrain and stand for pro-longed periods of time unassisted. Grotonwood provides exclusive programs every June for wheelchair users and those requiring a higher ratio of care.
Grotonwood uses an online registration system, called CampBrain for all camper registrations. Click the link to get started:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Campers will visit the Country Store on Saturday and Sunday, where snacks, sodas and souvenirs are available to be purchased (according to each campers dietary restrictions). Please remember to bring some spending money ($35).
Our desire is to provide camping experiences to all adults with disabilities, however, our current programs do require certain minimum levels of mobility, self help and social skills. If you’re unsure if camp will be suitable please contact the office at (978) 448 5763.
A non-refundable $100 deposit is due upon registration which is applied to session fees. If Grotonwood cancels a program for any reason, a full refund will be provided.
Medical and Camp Forms MUST be returned at least two weeks before the session start date. Find a complete list of all the required documents here.
FINANCIAL AID IS AVAILABLE
Tuition costs should never be the barrier preventing campers from attending camp. We're able to provide financial assistance to those who require it in order to attend. Simply complete a Campership Request Form by clicking on the link:
