One of the highlights of our 60th anniversary year is set to be the Spring Steam Gala. The date is set for Friday 18 to Monday 21 April 2025 and we’re looking forward to welcoming spectacular visiting locomotives.What to expect at the Spring Steam Gala? Our four day festival of steam will feature both guest and home locomotives operating a busy timetable between Kidderminster and Hampton Loade. If you and your family love steam, this is the place to be! Ride behind as many engines as you can, visit The Engine House at Highley to break your day, and sample the finest real-ales in our pubs. Perfect for those young and old, experience the Severn Valley at its steamiest!

Highlights:
- Friday: the first GWR Grange on a full set of Great Western Railway carriages in well over 60 years.
- Saturday: last chance to ride behind GWR 7812 Erlestoke Manor working a solo train between Kidderminster and Hampton Loade.
- Sunday: GWR 6880 Betton Grange hauling a goods train.
- Monday: GWR 7802 Bradley Manor and GWR 7812 Erlestoke Manor double-heading from Hampton Loade to Kidderminster.
We’ll have three main trains running between Kidderminster and Hampton Loade, accompanied by a mixture of local and goods trains and the DMU operating between Kidderminster and Highley. Trains will run from 7.55am until the evening, with later trains on Friday and Saturday.
The Coalyard Miniature Railway at Kidderminster Station will be open on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 April from 12 noon to 5.30pm.
Bewdley Station will host a Beer Hut on all four days. Open Friday and Saturday 10am until 10pm, and Sunday and Monday 10am until 6pm.
At Bridgnorth Station, GWR Pannier Tank 7714 (Friday and Monday) and GWR 1450 (Saturday and Sunday) will be in steam, offering rides in the recently repainted DMU trailer in and out of the station. Day Rovers are valid on this service, or tickets for the Bridgnorth trains only can be purchased on the day (Adult, £5.00. Child, £1.00). GWR 4930, LMS 13268 and LMS 43106 will be on display in Platform 1.
