What is the Spring Youth Adult Council Sports Sale?
The Spring Youth Adult Council Sports Sale is an event organized by the Youth Adult Council to provide affordable sports equipment and apparel for kids in our community. We collect gently used and new donations, then sell them for $5 each . All proceeds benefit the Youth Adult Council scholarship.
When and where is the Sports Sale?
The sale will be held on Sunday, March 2nd from 10 am to 2pm at Newington Volunteer Fire Department CO 1 (1485 Main Street Newington CT 06111) in the community room drive around back !
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash Only!
Each item is $5.
Who benefits from the Sports Sale?
The entire community benefits! Families can purchase affordable sports equipment, and all proceeds go directly to supporting Youth Adult Council programs and activities for local youth.
What kind of equipment will be available?
* Baseball/Softball: Bats, gloves, helmets, cleats
* Soccer: Cleats, shin guards, balls
* Other: Tennis rackets, lacrosse sticks, and various athletic apparel
Is the equipment safe?
We carefully inspect all donated equipment for safety and usability. However, it's the caregiver's responsibility to ensure the equipment is appropriate and fits the child correctly. All sales are final !
Donating Equipment
How can I donate equipment?
Donations can be dropped off at Human Services February 24th- February 28th during their regular business hours.
Karma's Closet Saturday March 1st 10am-5pm.
Fire Department Co 1 day of the sale Sunday March 2nd 8am-10am.
Please ensure all donated items are clean and in usable condition.
What kind of equipment do you accept for donations?
We accept gently used or new spring sports equipment and athletic apparel. We cannot accept items that are broken, damaged, or unsafe.
