About this Event
Come meet the sheep and lend a hand during Spring Shearing Day! We will be shearing 31 sheep on March 8th and offering 10 of these raw fleeces to YOU before we send the rest to the mill. Pre-registration of $40 saves your spot for fleece selection. $10 will go towards a chili lunch and remainder towards you fleece. Final cost of $18 per pound for ewes and $24 per pound for lambs. Average weight per fleece ranges from 8-12lbs and can be split. The weight will be totaled after shearing and weighing your chosen fleece. Come touch, compare, and help the crew skirt your fleece before taking it home with you. The ewes and lambs we will be shearing are heritage registered Cotswold. Cotswold are among the long wool breeds that grow lusttrouuus wool and provide many options for fiber artists.
