Amos Butler Audubon Society and Friends of Marott Woods Nature Preserve are joining together to offer a bird hike at Marott Woods Nature Preserve on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Matthew Krohn and Becky Heck, both outstanding birders, will lead the hike.The preserve is 102 acres and runs along Williams Creek. It has dirt trails and is generally flat terrain. Warblers such as Yellow-throated and Northern Parula should be singing from the Sycamore trees, and last year, the preserve even hosted a Worm-eating Warbler.
The hike is free but advance registration is requested. To reserve a spot, email Laurie Voss at [email protected]. You will meet at the parking lot on the north side of the preserve along 75th Street. 899 E. 75th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220
