 The grafting class fee is $20 and will include at least one apple rootstock and one pear rootstock.
 Participants should bring their own grafting knife (reach out to Dennis Strahle if you need help selecting a knife).
 If you have a favorite apple or pear tree that you would like to clone (maybe a childhood apple or pear tree where you grew up or a friend’s apple or pear tree?), collect scions from it prior to the end of February and store them in the refrigerator (reach out to Dennis if you need more details).
 If you do not have a favorite apple or pear tree you wish to clone, there will be an ample supply of other scions available at the Spring Meeting Scion Exchange (free for all in attendance) and you can request specific apple or pear varieties here on the Facebook page or to the MNFGA membership by contacting Dennis before the end of January.
 Grafting supplies (scions, grafting tape and rubber bands) will be supplied.
 PLEASE bring a large plastic bag to transport your newly grafted trees home and have a place prepared to plant them that afternoon if possible or at least by the end of the weekend (it will be warm/hot by May 11 and your new trees will be ready to get their bare roots into the soil). They should be planted, mulched, watered and guarded from animals. NO fertilizer in year one.
 Participants may pay for the class AT the spring meeting (Cecelia (Treasurer) will be at the entrance table where you sign in, pay dues (if due) and are welcomed with a friendly smile!).
 PLEASE, contact Dennis Strahle no later than April 30, 2024, to register for the grafting class so that we have enough supplies for everyone.
 NO REGISTRATION required for the Spring Meeting! All members and guests are welcome!
