The Office of Equity and Inclusion invites you to join us at City Hall on March 12th at 10am for the first event in our Spring Learning Series: “Doing Business with the City 101.” This event will be geared towards any small, minority, and/or woman-owned businesses in and around the City of Frederick who want to learn more about how to become a vendor or supplier for the City. This event will focus on providing a comprehensive overview of how businesses can participate in local government contracting, specifically as part of the City’s Small Business Reserve (SBR) and Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) programs.This event will cover a variety of topics, including:
•The registration process to become a vendor that can participate in City procurement.
•Becoming a certified Small Business Enterprise and/or Minority or Women Owned Business Enterprise, including a self-certification option in the City.
•The process for participating in the procurement process and accessing current and upcoming opportunities.
The event will be held in person with a virtual option.
Light breakfast fare will be provided.
