Spring is in full swing, the wattle is blooming, the birds are singing so it’s time you got dancing!Come along and join us in lighting up the MOUNTAIN RIVER HALL with the sounds of music, dancing and laughter.
ROSS SMITHARD & UP JUMPED TROUBLE will provide the music for the night with foot stomping old time tunes played on fiddle, banjo, guitar and uke along with a special guest dance caller and mandolin player from N.S.W.
Our indelible fiddle player Ross will be leading the tunes and calling the dances, so no dance experience is needed and as bush dances are notoriously friendly places you will always find someone to dance with.
If you came along to our last two bush dances at the Cygnet Town Hall you will know what a fun night this will be.
It is a smaller venue, smaller band but we will be playing the same great tunes, with the same great caller and the same great dances (or maybe a variation of each!)
This will probably be our LAST BUSH DANCE in the Valley for 2024 so we are looking forward to seeing some familiar and new faces there!
Doors open at 6pm with the music and dancing kicking off at 6.30. We will also be joined by the very enterprising students from Peregrine School selling fabulous home made treats and drinks to help fund their upcoming trip to Japan.
You are most welcome to bring your own food and drinks as there will be tables and seating available inside.
There is also a playground for the kids, outdoor seating and bbq facilities if you want to cook up your own food.
We do ask that you take home with you what you bring.
AND do bring your water bottles with you as dancing is thirsty work!
