Take a break from lessons and tests to spend some time outside with hands-on learning! Homeschool Days are designed for homeschooling families looking to take educational field trips. Each class will cover a new topic through two, 45-minute programs. Program runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.**PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED** Space extremely limited. Send all requested information for best chance at making registration. $10.00 per student per class*, 5 and up.

3/26 - LEWIS AND CLARK
Let's embark on an adventure and learn about Lewis and Clark, their expedition west, and their role at Big Bone Lick. Students will have the opportunity to earn their Lewis and Clark junior ranger badge through the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail. Commemorative badge to take home.
4/9 - GEOLOGY OF NORTHERN KENTUCKY
Discover what hides within the rocks at our feet! Students will have the opportunity to learn about how the geology of NKY shaped Big Bone Lick's salt springs, explore Ordovician fossils, and try their hand at finding and identifying them in fossil creek.
4/23 - ECOSYSTEMS
What calls your backyard home? Students will have the opportunity to explore native critters, their ecosystems, and how they are connected in the food web.
5/7 - BIRDS OF PREY* $15.00/student
Join guest educator Tom Sproat of Critters in the Classroom for a live birds of prey demonstration! Students will have the opportunity learn about local birds of prey and view live birds like owls and hawks.
5/21 - PREHISTORIC LIFE
Travel back in time and investigate creatures of long ago that once called Big Bone Lick home. Students will have the opportunity to learn about Ice Age mega mammals and visit the bison herd.
