Geer Street Learning Garden is hosting part 3 of our 4-part Spring Series called, "Spring Harvest: Pick, Prep, & Savor" In this workshop, we will introduce basic harvesting tools and demonstrate how to harvest spring vegetables.
We recommend getting to this event 10 minutes early to give you time to sign in and get settled before beginning.
Location: 110 E Geer Street, Durham, NC 27701. Geer Street Learning Garden. There should be a sign that says, "Inter-Faith Food Shuttle Event" and a greeter outside to guide you.
Parking: Workshop participants can park across the street on the lawn next to Bull City Cool and on adjacent Mangum and Roxboro Streets (aerial photo attached above).
Things to bring and wear: Snacks and water bottles, pens/pencils, notepads. This workshop takes place outside, so be sure to dress for the weather and wear closed toe shoes. Masks are not required, but please wear your mask if you feel more comfortable doing so.
Allergies, please note: Bees and fire ants are present in the garden. Participants with allergies should bring appropriate Medic*tion and alert staff members of your allergy.
The rain date for this event is April 15th, we will notify you via email if the workshop is rescheduled.
