Leader: Jeff Adams
About Jeff: Jeff is an avid outdoor enthusiast & naturalist who’s been enjoying the natural world for 50 years. He’s a member of the Friends of the Fells, The Trustees, Mass Audubon, Sudbury Valley Trustees, Acton Conservation Trust, Arlington Land Trust, Essex Greenbelt, Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Tufts University and The Massachusetts Archaeological Society, Inc. He and his wife, Carol Andrulli, have been hiking in the Fells for over 30 years & frequently participate in numerous hiking/nature programs.
About the hike: Please join Jeff for a Spring guided nature walk on the Mustang Loop Trailhead including the 90mm Meadow. We’ll focus on plant ID including some select natural history. Maybe we’ll see some Spring Ephemerals, plants that emerge quickly in the spring and die back to their underground parts after a short growth and reproduction phase.
This walk will start at the Mustang Loop Trailhead behind Medford High School. We’ll meet in the parking lot at the very end (go past the 489 Bistro and turn right).
