Sue Poff and Chris Clayton, McKellar residents and professional gardener and designers, will be giving a one day workshop called 'Spring Garden Wake-Up' on April 19th from 10:00 - 2:00. You'll learn the best methods for cleaning up your existing garden beds and how to divide and move existing plants, or add new ones. Plus, when to prune and fertilize for best results. A bonus topic will include beneficial insects, what are they and what they do for your gardens. This workshop is specific to the Parry Sound area landscape of rock, clay and sandy soils, water, snow and seasonality. Included in the fee is a delicious lunch by James McMurdo.
Cost is $25 per person. Register and pay through the McKellar Public Library at 705-389-2611. Bring a pen and paper to take notes.
