About this Event
Spring is here, and Stomping Ground is rolling out a brand new workshop series to help you spring forward as an improviser and performer!
Each week, one of our instructors will dig into a topic or skill of their choosing! Students will refresh their improvisational toolbelt and add new tools to make their scenes both memorable and engaging for an audience. This class is recommended for students with some improv experience. The prerequisite for these workshops is Level Three Improv at Stomping Ground or the equivalent at another training center with permission from the Training Center Director.
This week's topic is Being a Grounded Goofball
You can be playful and play big characters and situations while still being anchored in the reality of the scene! This week’s Spring Forward drop-in class will focus on playing the fun and absurd characters with honest reactions and having the most fun when playing grounded characters and realistic situations. Students will practice making choices that bring the most joy to the audience and themselves while still having both feet on the scene’s floor.
This one session drop-in class is held Sunday, April 6th from 6-8:30pm The instructor is John Gerhardt. Price of class does not include Eventbrite's service fee (3.7% + $1.79) and payment processing fee (2.9%) which will be added to the total price at checkout.
