DESCRIPTION:
Pressed flowers are beautiful on their own and can be turned into a fun piece of home decor in a few easy steps. We will be working with hand pressed flowers, recycled plastic coating, and some fun additions, such as sparkles and prisms. You'll be able to design your own mobile and take home some extra pressed flower designs to be used as bookmarks or jewelry!
All materials will be provided - just bring your creative spirit!
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Sophie Kanter is a textile artist living in Washington, DC. A native of the city, she is inspired by plants and everything nature has to offer, in addition to beautiful modern design. Her practice includes natural dyeing, embroidery, cross stitch, and much more! The best part of her art is sharing the process with others and seeing the unique creations of others. In addition to art, she also loves chocolate chip cookies and other people's dogs.
