Sponsored by the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Beach Improvement District, Las Olas Oceanside Park, the 5th annual Spring Fling provides an egg-cellent time for everyone to enjoy delightful activities, including three egg hunts tailored to different ages, a Children's Craft Corner celebrating Earth Month, live music, contests, and games galore.
Don't forget to snap photos with the Easter Bunny and explore the farmers market for picnic provisions on the lawn. It's a day packed with family-friendly fun and community spirit you won't miss.
ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT
EGG HUNT EGGSTRAVAGANZA - 15,000 CANDY-FILLED EGGS
Children 13 and under are encouraged to bring an Easter basket and gather on the main lawn at 10 a.m. for The LOOP’s egg hunt countdown.
The egg hunt will be divided into three approximate starting times.
- 10:15 am: Children under 5
- 10:30 am: Children ages 6 - 9
- 10:45 am: Children ages 10 -13
- 11:00 am: Sensory Friendly Egg Scramble, children under 12
Free pre-registration online is encouraged.
Come down early and explore the park and vendors for a golden egg hunt.
Find the golden egg hidden on the grounds and take home a gourmet Easter basket.
LIVE MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT
- 10 am - 3 pm: David and the Hippie Hares: Hop along to great tunes to get you ready for the egg hunt, followed by interactive dances and games on the lawn
- 11 am - 2 pm: Photos with the Easter Bunny, Balloon Artistry, and Face Painting
- 11:30 am - 1 pm: Bunny Hop Sack Races and Freeze Dance Contests
HIPPIE-D SELFIE STATION
- Dress up in your retro-inspired Easter finest and take a selfie in the 360-degree video experience.
- Pick Up a Flower Crown or Peace Necklace for fun photos with Bunny Ears throughout the park.
CHILDREN'S ARTS & CRAFTS CORNER
In recognition of Earth Month, The LOOP’s children’s craft corner features make-and-take crafts that are good for the planet.
FARMERS MARKET
Shop and stroll local vendors displaying an eclectic selection of food, art, clothing, jewelry, home goods, pet supplies, body care, and more.
