Last spring, I carefully planted out ten rows in our front yard for the very first time. Many seasons and experiments lead up to that moment- little pots outside apartment doors, tomatoes stuffed in buckets, a dozen raised beds, and then removing our lawn one shovelful at a time. We have squeezed a lot into the ¼ acre we call home.
