Moturata Island Reserve is located at 1341–1349 Taieri Mouth Rd between Kuri Bush and Taieri Mouth. Travelling towards Taieri Mouth it is on the left hand (beach) side of the road. It is signposted at the vehicle entrance to the carpark but can be easy to miss if you haven’t been there before. If you get to the Taieri River bridge you’ve gone too far and need to double back. Its easier to identify heading back towards Brighton as the vehicle entrance, now on your right, is where the Dunedin sign is. There is good off-road parking & an easy track down to the beach.
