Spring Equinox QiGong: Special Pop Up ClassEquinox stands as the halfway point between winter and summer solstices on the wheel of the year where Yin/Yang rise and fall. During the vernal equinox we celebrate the arrival of Spring.
The spring season in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is associated with the wood element, the color green and the liver (yin) and gall bladder (yang).
Spring is the season of renewal and growth and represents awakening and transformation, creativity and abundance. Yang energy is rising in Yin and is the ideal time for cleansing and rejuvenation.
This hour session will take you through a warm up, stretching into with energy activation, and targeted flow destined to boost your immunity and finally a seated/standing meditation [your choice] to settle and point the mind, body, spirit into new beginnings.
About the Instructor:
With certifications from the American Tai Chi and Qigong Association, Paula Nelson is a Master Trainer for Tai Chi USA/Defy Aging, Inc. Paula holds a Bachelor of Science from Missouri State University in Physical Education, Recreation & Leisure Studies.
