On the weekend of the Spring Equinox, we will have the opportunity to bless the land of this sacred site; the original location of our “seed labyrinth”; this sacred geometry birthed another five labyrinths in our community. Now is the time to honour our original intentions and bring this labyrinth to life.
The spring equinox marks the turning point when daylight begins to over take the darkness and the North Pole begins to lean toward the sun again. This is the time of year when we begin to experience more life force creative energy within our minds and bodies. This part of the year marks renewal and fresh beginnings when nature awakens, energy levels rise, and people are inspired to set new intentions or embrace change.
Like the solstices, equinoxes are historic markers of seasonal change. The March equinox, unofficially marks the spring season, and for this reason, many cultures have celebrated the March equinox as the first day of the new year.
It reminds us of the eternal cycle of life and regeneration, and empowers us to shed the layers of winter's slumber and embrace the potential that lies within us. It marks the beginning of the fertile spring season when day and night are equal lengths.
This will ready the land for the labyrinth’s final creation and for its completion before International Labyrinth Day at the beginning of May, when it’s hoped that we will once more gather to celebrate this worldwide event.
We look forward to seeing you…Bring your family and friends along too!
