What is The Spring Equinox?
The Spring Equinox, also known as the vernal equinox, is the day in early spring when the sun is directly above the equator, marking the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. The equinox is officially March 20th at precisely 2:01am, but we will be celebrating together on the 22nd at the meadery. We will also bring Irish Celtic celebrations as well by celebrating St. Patrick's Day!
How do we celebrate?
Irish Food - Biercuterie will offer a pre-order for Reuben's, Cheese & Charcuterie boxes! Pre-order at biercuterie.com/events. Limited quantities will be available for on site sale through the tasting room. Pre-order is encouraged! (order link live soon)
Mead Release - The making of and sharing of mead is within the historic rituals of the seasonal wheel. We will be releasing our Ginger Pear mead new in cans.
Bonfires - Gathering around a warm fire in community & intention setting.
Offerings - Pot your own Calendula start; Paint Strawberry Rocks for your Garden - on the patio or in the hot tent in the case of rainy weather (complimentary).
Altar - Bring a nature item that signals spring to place on the altar (a flower, something from nature, etc).
Buskers - We will have musicians & artists coming and going offering their talents throughout the event.
We look forward to seeing you there.
