As a SKYWARN Storm Spotter, you’ll learn how to identify and report severe weather conditions to the National Weather Service, helping keep your community safe. Your reports can play a critical role in tracking storms, issuing warnings, and potentially saving lives during thunderstorms, tornadoes, flash floods, and high winds. 🌬️🌪️
💡 What You’ll Learn:
• The role of the National Weather Service
• How to identify and report tornadoes, thunderstorms, and other severe weather
• The impact of flash floods, dust storms, and winter storms
• How to join the storm observing & reporting network
🎓 Participants who complete the training will:
• Receive a Certificate of Completion
• Be eligible to register with the National Weather Service for a Spotter ID
