Transport & Address:

Meet us on site at Tom Burt's Hill at 10am. We will meet behind High Wycombe Ambulance Station, West End Street, HP11 2JQ. Parking at Eden Centre - a short walk away (https://www.edenshopping.co.uk/information/car-parking/) or you may find on street parking nearby. Please park considerately.

Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.

You don't need to print off your Eventbrite ticket!


The Task:

Today we will make a start and cutting the long grass, raking and creating habitat piles. Come and join us for a morning packed with healthy activity!


Timings (please note these timings are approximate):

10.00: Arrival on site for safety briefing

11.30: Tea & coffee break

13.00: Lunch - please bring your own

15.30: Work finishes - time to go home


What to bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.

Long trousers are advisable as there is thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.

Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny you may aslo want to bring sun cream.

Please bring plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.


Access:

Tom Burt's Hill is on a medium to steep slops and may not suitable for those with limited mobility or unsteady on their feet.


Volunteering and COVID:

Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.
