Immerse yourself in kirtan meditation—a unique and uplifting group meditation—gain spiritual insights, and enjoy a delicious vegan curry and rice, all shared with a like-minded community. Everyone is welcome at this friendly and relaxed evening.
WHAT IS KIRTAN?
Kirtan meditation is the hearing and chanting of mantras (sacred spiritual sounds) in a call-and-response style. Weaving together melody, music and mantra, kirtan is an interactive experience which is both meditative and joyful.
While meditation is often seen as a quiet, solitary practice of trying to empty the mind, kirtan offers a refreshing alternative—a beautiful group meditation that engages the senses and uplifts the spirit.
Kirtan is yoga’s most essential and valuable treasure because it nourishes our deepest needs for inner peace, spiritual happiness, freedom from fear and heartfelt connection with the Supreme Soul and with others in spiritual love.
No experience needed, just come as you are. Everyone is welcome. Bring a friend or come solo :).
