About this Event
When: Saturday, April 26th @ 11 AM PST
Where: Discovery Park in Seattle, WA
Facilitators: Marika Clymer (@thewoodsmansdaughter) and Carolyn Egan (@acknowledgewellness)
Our love letter to these lands, tending the garden of community + land connections here in the Seattle & Puget Sound area.
Core Intentions:
- Connecting like-minded community members including nature enthusiasts, healing practitioners, and the botanically-curious
- Knowledge sharing! Carolyn & Marika spend time cultivating seasonal herbal & astrological knowledge to share during these walks, but ultimately we want to work with the seasons to inspire conversation among all community members and cross-pollinate wisdom, experience, and skills
- Engaging with the land, in various ways including plant identification and medicinal properties, insight from holistic ecological frameworks, embodiment/somatic exercises, and more
- Connect our bodies to land in tangible ways, including the integration of seasonal plants through respectful harvest & medicine making, preparing and sharing of food
- And much more!
Community Care:
This is an outdoor event and masking + social distancing is optional, however, we ask that all attendees please exercise self awareness in regards to their own physical health, and be considerate of others by staying home if they are sick, still recovering from illness, or have been exposed to someone who is sick before the event.
