Help keep Pantego – and your garage – beautiful by clearing out limbs, brush, and other bulky items including unwanted furniture or general debris. This cleanup is for Pantego residents (ID required) and is ‘first come, first served’.Staff will be on hand to help unload items from 8 am to 1 pm in the parking lot just south of Town Hall (at the intersection of Bowen and Winewood). For safety and efficiency, please follow all posted signage including where to enter and exit. The event may end early if the container reaches capacity.
Household hazardous waste (HHW) will *NOT* be accepted. This includes items like batteries, paint, solvents, and yard or pool chemicals. CWD provides curbside collection of properly bagged HHW on the third Wednesday of each month. Request a bag by calling 972-392-9300 (option 2), emailing [email protected], or downloading the CWD app.
Other items that cannot be accepted:
• Medical waste, pills, or needles
• Electronics and smoke detectors
• Tires of any size
• Ammunition or explosives
• Butane or propane cylinders
• Freon appliances
• Hazardous or regulated material (e.g., asbestos, lead paint, and mercury thermostats)
This is also a great opportunity to remove tree limbs that overhang the street or sidewalk. Such limbs are regulated within Town Code because of their ability to impede or cause costly damage to fire trucks and ambulances. No branch or growth can overhang a street lower than fourteen feet (14’) or a sidewalk lower than seven feet (7’).
