Join us as we celebrate "Love Your Thighs" Day as hosts a special women's clothing swap & social mixer in collboration with Invite The Calm on April 25th in a private lounge in Liberty Village.
Sift through your closet for clothes that no longer bring you joy and bring these to our event for a fun clothing swap!
This is an intimate event - only 20 spots available.
Just women’s clothing & accessories (bags, belts, jewellery) please (no lingerie or underwear, and do not bring not stained or damaged items). Limit of 15 items per person max.
Format:
This event will feature a clothing swap, a 30 min interactive workshop and a networking social to mix & mingle afterwards.
Body Acceptance Mentor, Nikki Lanchbery from Invite the Calm, will share her journey of body acceptance and why she does the work that she does now. Together we’ll speak about clothing and mindset and foster celebration and compassion for all women. Trying on clothing (or even looking at a size tag) can be an emotional activity. Which is why we’re dragging the scary dragon out of the depths to shine some light on it. As a collective sisterhood, we’ll put some music on, try on some new clothes and have fun!
Body acceptance and self-love is a journey that requires patience and practice. It’s often a healing process of things that happened to us and/or stories we’ve been telling ourselves. While one event can make a positive impact, it’s important to surround yourself with people who believe that your worth doesn’t rely on the beauty standards of your body container. If you harbour strong negative emotions for your body, you may feel that finding love for your body isn’t in the cards. I suggest starting with a mindset of body neutrality first, then maybe acceptance, then maybe love. But we’ll chat more about that.

Who should join?
- If you're a woman (ages 19+) who would like to connect with fellow like-minded females
- Wome who wish to donate clothes/ participate in a clothing swap
- Women who want to learn more about body acceptance / love their body
What do I need?
- Bring at least 1-2 items to swap
- Your smile, positive attitude, and openness to learn and share
- Your (digital) business card
Pricing:
Limited FREE spots - you must bring clothing items. The cost is for the event organization, venue, workshop, donation drop off/coordination, and hosting.
There are NO refunds if you cannot make this event or change your mind.
Why is there a cap on attendance?
For the best experience, for the venue capacity, and a chance to connect with everyone - we need to make this a more intimate group setting. Please do not sign up and take up a spot if you don't think you'll make it.
