On April 5, 2025, the York Polar Bears Special Hockey program will proudly host its inaugural Spring Classic Tournament. This exciting one-day event will feature a full day of games, running from 8 AM to 6 PM. This year’s tournament will be especially meaningful, as the York Polar Bears have partnered with the VM99 team to pay tribute to Vince Mak, a beloved local business owner and cherished member of our community. Vince’s untimely passing due to heart disease has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him. In honor of his legacy, we will dedicate this year’s tournament to celebrating his life and the positive impact he made on our community and the sport of ice hockey. During the tournament, the York Polar Bears will also showcase their skills in a game against another special needs’ hockey team, demonstrating the talent and passion of our players.
The day would not be complete without a raffle drawing with items donated by local companies. There is sure to be a basket for everyone.
