Camping at Aylesford Equine near Melton Mowbray.
This camp is based on a fun, friendly, confidence building weekend camping away with your horse. Everything is calm, laid back with no pressure in a small group of like-minded people.
Arrivals either 5-7pm Friday night or by 9am Saturday morning.
Minimum of 2 group sessions daily, roughly 3-4 hours teaching per day.
I have tried a new thing and created 2 group types:
Novice/nervous/In-hand group (can be ridden or in-hand only):
1 x Trick training/groundwork sessions
1 x Mini XC session
2 x Simulated hacking arena sessions - including waterplay, ditches, steps, bank and my mobile timber obstacles
Talk/demo in evening
Open group (predominantly ridden, other than trick training session):
1 x Trick training session
1 x Waterplay session on main XC
1 x Group ride
1 x Simulated hacking arena sessions - including waterplay, ditches, steps, bank and my mobile timber obstacles
Talk/demo in evening
8 spaces available in each group roughly.
£300pp
£100 deposit secures place, full payment due 8 weeks prior - email and itinerary will be sent out prior to this.
Exact sessions and full itinerary will be sent out in a welcome pack nearer the date.
Includes temporary stable use for the duration of camp - shavings only (can be purchased directly from venue if required). If the weather is dry, small day grass paddocks can be made if you bring fencing (but stabled overnight).
Camps limited to roughly up to 16 people, and split into groups of around 4.
It is outdoors all weekend so bring suitable clothing.
In the event of adverse weather sessions may be subject to change due to safety if required.
The duration is on a entirely self catering basis - Just Eat and Uber etc delivers there if anyone needs to order food in.
Additional £20 stable deposit required - this is refunded the Monday after camp if paid by BACS providing stable is fully emptied out upon departure, or can be just £20 cash in an envelope on arrival and returned before leaving Sunday (Apologies, but had quite a few stables not mucked out last year which racked up extra hours having to empty them myself on the Sunday night so just to prevent this happening again....if you can't empty it before leaving, then the £20 can be left as a stable clearance fee and I will do it - but please let me be aware of this)
All camping equipment and means provided by yourself.
I am happy if people book B&B locally instead of camp as I will be on sight overnight so will be there in emergency if needed etc.
Riders over the age of 16 or must be accompanied by an adult guardian for the duration.
Non refundable booking, unless space can be refilled minus £5 admin fee.
