Eight downtown locations have joined together to create this year’s “Spring Break Passport to Fun,” which offers activities for the family during spring break week, March 24 to 29. The City of Salem Library, Deepwood Museum, Hallie Ford Museum of Art, the Oregon State Capitol, Salem Art Association, State Capitol State Park, Willamette Heritage Center, and World Beat Gallery have teamed up to offer families a fun and free, or discounted, way to fill the week off school with activities.
The passport is free and available to download at www.oregoncapitol.com event page. Operating days and times for each location are listed on the passport, as well as the activities offered. Passport stamps will be given at each location after the activity is completed. After five of the eight stamps have been gathered, children can enter to win one of three prize baskets at any of the participating locations.
The presenting sponsor for this annual event is the Oregon State Capitol Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Phone numbers, location hours and addresses are also printed on the passport.
