March 19: March Madness - Slam Dunk Sweets & Treats

Get ready for a day of hoops, high-fives, and tasty treats! On this day campers will channel their inner champions as they make sporty snacks and treats perfect for game day. Campers will showcase their creativity and team spirit as they work together during team-themed activities. Additionally, campers will learn kitchen safety tips while building teamwork and having a blast with their new friends! By the end of the day, they’ll be ready to cheer on their favorite team, and be full of yummy snacks!

Mrs. Hachey is back in the kitchen! Join us for some fun over Spring Break! Our Spring Break Culinary Camp offers hands-on creating where kids can learn to make delicious meals, bake tasty treats, and develop their culinary skills in a safe and exciting environment.

THIS CAMP IS FOR KIDS 7-12 YEARS OLD.

Camp is held from 9am-3pm at NewBo City Market (1100 3rd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, IA, 52401).

Dropoff is from 8:40-9:00 and pickup is from 3:00-3:20pm.

Campers are required to pack a lunch.

Please Bring:

A clearly labeled backpack with:

A snack
A lunch
A reusable water bottle
Clothes for outside (check the weather!)

Cell phones
Electronics
Valuables
Sharps

Mrs. Carly Hachey is a teacher in the Linn-Mar district with over 17 years of experience in the classroom and TWO masters degrees in education. She will guide our campers through a day full of food-based learning! Kids will have the chance to explore different topics through activities taking place in the NewBo City Market Culinary Kitchen. All activities will be age appropriate , educational, and most of all, FUN!
