About this Event
Kids dive into the amazing world of insects in this hands-on entomology workshop! Presented by staff from Mad Science, children will examine real insect specimens up close, refresh their insect anatomy skills, and discover what makes bugs so unique. Through fun matching activities, kids connect each insect to its correct habitat and learn how insects survive and thrive in different environments. They’ll also explore cool insect defense mechanisms—like camouflage, mimicry, and even being extra stinky—and see how bugs use these strategies to stay safe in the wild. Limit 10 per class. Cost of class is $40 and includes a Butterfly Wonderland child ticket to return to Butterfly Wonderland. (Value: $24.80)
