Spring cleaning means making space on your shelves for the trove of literary gems you will discover at the Friends of the Rockport Library’s Spring Book Sale. The sale will be located in the lower level of the Rockport Public Library from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26. Shoppers can feel good knowing that proceeds from the event will help support the library.Book lovers are encouraged to stop by the sale often, as volunteers will regularly restock the tables with thousands of gently used books, CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks appealing to all ages and interests. Shoppers should be sure to check out the “specials” table, which is always full of wondrous and unusual finds.
Bargain hunters will love that most items are priced between $1 and $5. Those wishing to save even more can join the Friends of the Rockport Library for $20 and receive a tote to fill with as many books as they can fit (except items on the “specials” table). The tote can be brought back to the library during book sales in June and September to be filled up again for only $10.
Volunteers play several integral roles at the library book sales. If you are interested in helping with set-up, break-down, cashiering, or restocking of books at the event, please stop by or contact the library at 207-236-3642 to sign up for a shift.
