Learn how to use soft pastels with artist Jeneane Lunn during five (5) in-person sessions. Using the techniques of the Impressionist painters, students will work to capture the changing light effects of nature in the tropical environment of the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center greenhouses, or weather permitting, in the outdoor Winter Garden. Soft pastels are a great medium for doing small studies or finished work. This class will offer an easy technique for starting pastels that you can develop into your own finished pieces of art. Our focus will be on increasing our perception of color to create more and more complex, beautiful layers of color while enjoying the serenity of the garden.This series is appropriate for students of all levels.

Artist Bio
Jeneane Lunn is a professional artist and was a high school art teacher and taught at the Community College and other art organizations around Vermont. In Rhode Island she teaches at the Rhode Island Watercolor Society, Wickford Art Association, South County Art Associations and private online classes.
