Step Into The World Of Pottery….SPRING 2026 - 6 WEEK POTTERY EVENING CLASS
A 6 week pottery courses covering a wide range of pottery techniques and including surface decoration and glazing.
2.5 hours per week on a Tuesday evening (6.00-8.30pm).
Max.10 people. Min. 4 people.
After the end of the course we also have a pottery display evening display (date to be arranged with the group) with some soft drinks/wine/beer & nibbles which friends, partners, husbands, wives, children etc are welcome to come to.
Over the 6 weeks we will cover the following techniques and we will decorate and fire all pottery during the course.
- pinch pots
- coiling
- slab work for tiles and constructing 3D shapes
- using plaster moulds & formers
- making & attaching handles
- extruding & combining extruded shapes
- throwing on the wheel
- decorating with slip (coloured liquid clay) & paint-on/dip glazes
You are welcome to bring in your ideas of things you want to try and make and we will choose which technique might be best to achieve it.
As we have 6 wheels in total, once we have covered wheel throwing in class, there will be ample time to give it another go and improve your technique.
Dates And Times
Our Spring 2026 6 week classes will on a Tuesday evening (6.00-8.30 pm) from Feb 24th – March 31st (with a follow up display evening date TBC with the group).
Price
Our 6 week courses cost £330 per person which includes 6 x 2.5 hour classes, all clay & decorating materials, firing, refreshments & nibbles & drinks for end of course display.
NB: No hidden extras for firing or numbers/size of pots made.

Collection Of Your Finished Pottery
During your 6 week course we will biscuit fire glaze & re-fire pottery at least once. Pottery will be available for collection once fired. We would ask that any pieces fired and collected before the end of the course pieces are returned for the final display evening.
