The BioBlitz at Brackenridge Field Lab in Spring 2025 is a biological survey and community engagement event in which we catalog the flora and fauna of Schulle Creek. The creek runs through the North-West end of the property and empties into Ladybird Lake. Thanks to the Green Fund program through UT's Office of Sustainability, the creek has been a major focus of restoration since 2023. The previous BioBlitz in Spring 2024 surveyed the creek corridor prior to extensive invasive species removal. This year's BioBlitz will be a follow-up survey in which we will document the flora and fauna that we see in the creek corridor immediately following the widespread invasive species control measures.
