Open to all levels of experience and artistic backgrounds, this exclusive event provides an opportunity to learn useful techniques utilizing re-purposed, found objects to create the medium of Assemblage. Dianne will share the secrets of her own professional practice, offer assistance to help guide your creative process and expand your scope of usable materials. (offered to adults 18+)
Topics include:
- Scavenging, Picking and Storing
- Tools, Glues, Adhesives and Altering Activators
- Letting Objects Tell Their Stories
- Balance, Composition and Presentation
$350 fee covers 7 hours of instruction and creative time with use of tools, adhesives and selected objects. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own personal artifacts, items and boxes/platforms to combine with the materials provided. Note: Registrants will also be provided a catered box lunch.
Space is limited to 8 participants so that individual attention and personalized direction can be provided to everyone. Must be pre-registered through Eventbrite to participate.
- 11am-12pm Intro overview and idea brainstorm
- 12pm-2:00pm Item selections and initiation of making process
- 2:00pm-2:30pm Catered lunch break
- 2:30-5:30pm Completion of works in progress
- 5:30-6:00pm Hard stop, show-and-tell, clean + pack up
