Carissa Burkett & Friends
Carissa Burkett is a classically trained vocalist turned jazz singer. The daughter of two musicians, she was surrounded by music her entire life, singing, playing piano, clarinet and handbells. Car-rides and dinner tables were always filled with singing in four part-harmony with her family. Burkett pursued a career in fine art instead of music, but continues to sing in her spare time. All about community, Burkett will be inviting musician friends to join her for an evening of fun jamming to jazz standards.
