About this Event
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Kids + Family Volunteers will work together to assemble Holiday Cheer Bags filled with essential items, holiday-themed "Thinking of You" cards, and festive treats for teens + kids in crisis who receive support from the nonprofit organization, StandUp for Kids.
WHY IS THIS WORK IMPORTANT:
This hands-on volunteer work will benefit StandUp For Kids.
StandUp For Kids works with chronically unhoused teens, who can no longer live with their families. Some of these kids have been on their own since age 10! They help unhoused + at-risk youth by providing them with a sense of safety + hope through street outreach.
KIND NOTES:
- This is an indoor and in-person volunteer project.
- All supplies will be provided.
- A takeaway snack will be provided for the Kid Volunteers at the completion of the project.
- Once you register, you will received emails with additional details to help you prepare for the day!
WHY YOU'LL BE ASKED TO PAY A FAMILY REGISTRATION FEE:
With Tucson Family Volunteers (a 501(c)(3) organization), all you have to do is register for a project, show up on the day of the project + volunteer. The Family Registration Fee goes towards the purchase of every single item needed for Family Volunteers to successfully complete a particular give-back project. Including takeaway snacks for the Kid Volunteers!
